Remember These Three Simple Steps

When an earthquake occurs, remember:

1. DROP

⬇️ Get down on your hands and knees before the shaking knocks you over.

2. COVER

🛡️ Protect your head and neck.
If possible, take cover under a sturdy table or desk.

3. HOLD ON

✋ Hold on until the shaking stops.
If the table moves, move with it.

📍 What Should You Do?

🏠 If You Are Indoors

✅ Stay calm.
✅ Drop, Cover, and Hold On.
✅ Stay away from windows, glass, shelves, cabinets, and furniture that could fall.

❌ Do NOT run outside while the ground is shaking.

🏢 If You Are in an Elevator

✅ Press every floor button.
✅ Get off at the nearest safe floor.

❌ Never use an elevator after a strong earthquake.

🏙️ If You Are Outdoors

Move away from:
• Buildings
• Walls
• Utility poles
• Signboards
• Anything that may fall

Protect your head with:
• Your backpack
• Your bag
• Your arms

🚆 If You Are on a Train

✅ Hold a hand strap or handrail firmly.
✅ Follow the instructions of railway staff.
